The Jurassic Duo: Allosaurus And Triceratops

The Jurassic Duo: Allosaurus And Triceratops - Two Little Fruits
Meet A-Rex (Allosaurus) and his friend Triceratops, our jurassic duo.  In 2014, we went to the island of Kauai, Hawaii for Derek's 40th birthday. We had a fantastic time and now continually talk about how someday we will move there.  One of the things that really stuck with us was the flora. The plants there are just amazing and everything thrives in Hawaii.
Going through our pictures once we returned, we got inspired by the prehistoric nature of the plants. We visited Allerton Garden, a lovely botanic garden that holds the Moreton Bay Fig trees the Steven Spielberg used in the original Jurassic Park film.  It was these beautiful trees that got the dinosaur wheels spinning.

When we returned to a chilly Denver, Colorado that November, we instantly wanted to go back to the warmth of that lush tropical island and that's truly the spark that brought Allosaurs and Triceratops into the Two Little Fruits world.
